Who we are

About us

We build the model behind every pick on this site, publish each one before the game starts, and put the result on a record anyone can read — including the ones we get wrong.

Why we built it

The same thing was wrong with every tips site we looked at. The winners were on the front page, the losses were nowhere, and by the time you had followed their picks there was nothing left to check. A record you cannot audit is not a record — it is a screenshot.

So we built this one the other way round, and the order matters: the model makes the pick, the pick goes out before the game starts, and when the game ends the result joins the record whether it flatters us or not. Every pick we have ever published opens to everyone when the game ends, which means anybody can check the record, with an account or without one.

What we hold ourselves to

Data, not opinion

Nobody here picks a game by hand. The model reads the numbers that decide a basketball game — projected pace, points scored and allowed, recent form, the standings and the bookmakers’ current odds — and the percentage beside a pick is its own confidence, calculated, not awarded by us.

Every result in public

Every pick we publish is graded won or lost and counted on the track record — overall, by market, by confidence band and day by day. We do not edit anything after a game has finished.

No game without a pick

A game appears here only when the model published a pick for it. We would rather show you a shorter board than pad it with games we have nothing to say about, and where the model finds no advantage we say so instead of inventing one.

Independent of the bookmakers

We are not a bookmaker. We take no bets and hold no money, and there is no link to a sportsbook anywhere on this site. Their odds are here to be compared with the model’s own — that comparison is the whole point of the advantage we show.

How a pick is made

  1. The model projects the game

It works out how fast the two teams will play and how many points each will score at that pace, then adjusts for home court, recent form, rest and how each side has been doing against the odds. That produces a predicted final score, and from it the model’s own odds for the moneyline, the spread and the over/under. The game page shows the adjustments that built the score, one row per team.

  2. A pick is published only where the model’s odds differ from the bookmakers’

Its odds are compared with the bookmakers’ current odds, and a pick goes out only where the two differ. That is why some games carry a predicted score and no pick at all — an honest “nothing here” rather than a pick made to fill the row. Picks are published before the game starts and are not changed afterwards.

  3. The result is marked won or lost for everyone to see

When the game ends, the pick is marked won or lost against the real score and joins the record. Every locked pick opens to everyone at that moment too, so nothing we have ever published stays locked.

The record is the page that matters

Anyone can claim a win rate. Ours is every pick we have published, counted four ways, with the losses in it.
